L-Soft, a leading provider of email list management software, email marketing software and email list hosting services since 1994, is currently seeking a highly motivated junior professional to be an integral member of our computer operations group. We are looking for a customer-focused techie to promote quality customer care for L-Soft-internal customers. At the beginning of his/her career, this new team member should understand the opportunity to learn all facets of computer operations in an industrial environment. Therefore, he/she has to be able to multi-task, handle stress situations without losing focus, be team-oriented, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Production Servers:
Routine system management tasks such as operating system upgrades and tests on VMS, UNIX, and Windows servers
Hardware upgrades and installation of new servers
Support in Security Administration and Active Directory Management
Monitoring (TICKLIST) and troubleshooting of operational problems
Application support (such as LISTSERV, LISTSERV Maestro and mail applications)
Daily backups and status checks
Desktop:
Support and troubleshooting, operating system upgrades and tests, etc
Daily backups and status checks
Others
Networking: Support in TCP/IP network and Domain Name System management
Logistics: Printer, fax, copier, and telephone equipment support
Internal customer support for departments such as marketing, accounting, etc.
Requirements:
High school diploma required. One to three (1-3) years of Windows server and workstation support, working knowledge of email and Internet applications, and basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year, accredited college or university (preferred). UNIX experience is highly desirable. OpenVMS knowledge is a plus.
